Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required. DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
Dev Technology Group is seeking highly qualified and motivated Test Engineer to join our growing team to test and support our mission-critical applications for our DHS customer. The successful candidate will provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements to working solutions. This includes involvement with users to define system scope and objectives, as well as writing and executing test cases. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to automate test cases
- Experience with scrum/agile project lifecycle approach to software development
- Able to work closely with counterparts in a cross-functional, Agile team setting, to understand product needs and implement the right tests
- Write and execute test scenarios and test cases using JIRA application
- Provide support and technical advice throughout Agile sprint cycles
- Validate enhancements to existing system in addition to coordinating with other QA and tester personnel
- Understands the importance of data as to analyze reported issues, inform severity of defects, inform the priority of tests
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
- BS or equivalent + 5 years related experience
- Experience with Cucumber, Ruby Gems, Swagger, Postman, Selenium
- Experience with testing Java Web Services / Spring Boot / Java EE
- Experience with testing Web Development / UI Frameworks / HTML / JavaScript
- Experience with Go Language and Python
- Experience with Windows Desktop client testing such as C# / .NET, WPF, XAML
- Experience with testing Java Web Services / Spring Boot / Java EE / Angular
- Experience with Web Development / UI Frameworks / HTML / JavaScript
- Experience with Oracle DB / PostgreSQL DB / MySQL
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- BS in Computer Science or Information Systems field of study
- Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Experience implementing and configuring DevOps solutions
- Experience with Docker, JBOSS, Postgres, NodeJS
- Experience in Jira and X-Ray to support configuration management in an Agile environment
- Experience with querying databases using SQL
- Experience in SQL and SQL*Plus
- Knowledge or experience with capturing devices (fingerprint scanner, iris/face camera etc.)
- Proven track record as a self-learner keeping current with the latest techniques including automated testing and continuous integration
- Passionate about sophisticated data structures and problem solutions
- Ability to quickly learn new data tools and ideas
- Certification in SAFe, SCRUM or Kanban
