Software Quality Assurance Intern

Job Description

As a member of Mill's Software Quality team during Summer 2023, you will be part of a cross functional team to design, validate and ship Mill's hardware products.  You will work on the Software Validation and automating the tests. You will work closely with other members of the Software Quality team as well as cross functional groups including Software Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Hardware teams.

Responsibilities

• Passion for quality, exceptional attention to detail
• Partner with QA team members to define tooling that enables improving testing efficiency and coverage 
• Assist in testing our product and writing functional tests for new features
• Help validate the released software
• Assist in developing automated tools 
• Perform root cause analysis for the issues

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in Java, Python
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering fundamentals to find simple solutions to complex problems 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to describe and document clearly. 

The estimated base hourly range for this position is $30 to $40, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. At Mill, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
