Q2 is looking for highly motivated and determined Software Quality Automation Engineers in our development team. This person will work with the current development and automation teams to build and improve the automated tests using a comprehensive test framework and suites of automation test plans for inclusion in regression. They will also be responsible for the development environments and toolsets to augment QA and development testing. This position will be part of the software developer team working in a small scrum teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the architecture of an automated testing environment using Azure Tools, Docker, Hashicorp tools and automated testing systems to provide automated testing that can be used within a CI environment
  • Contribute to the designing of a continuous Integration (CI) environment and ongoing process improvement activities.
  • Architect and be an active member in the construction of the automated deployment system within the CI development environment to provide test environment configuration and data for automated testing.
  • As part of Development, work with QA and Product Management to design and implement test and validation strategies.
  • Create, execute and troubleshoot automated test scenarios across our systems.
  • Contribute to robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression and performance testing
  • Identify required improvements in the test and development processes; make contributions to our automation tools and environments that address specific needs.

Knowledge

  • Design and development skills in a programming language SQL, Python c#, etc).
  • Knowledge about highly automated environments using virtual and cloud resources is strongly desired.
  • Experience with Katalon, Selenium, Linux, Windows and Azure would be a plus.

Requirements: 

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • Strong experience in full-stack testing and/or development
  • Experience in Azure
  • Experience with relational Automated testing tools
  • Strong experience with cloud-based infrastructure 
  • Experience working closely with design and PO individuals/teams 

     

Exceptional: 

  • 5+ years of Advance testing and program development experience 
  • Advanced JS Framework experience 
  • Experience with containerization 
  • Strong experience with functional testing, unit testing and test-driven development 
  • Experience in cybersecurity
