We are currently seeking a Software Quality Engineer in our Engineering team. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of excellence in the field of systems engineering and software quality. The candidate will be an accomplished leader with a strong organizational capability and ability to command respect from the talented teams he or she will help lead and coordinate.

The Role:

• Validate the Engineering and Production SW releases on vehicle test platforms
• Test field returns and factory failures to root cause failures and improve testing
• Drive test strategies with collaboration between SW quality assurance, validation, development and operation teams 
• Create & amend manual/automated test cases to perform SW validation in the operations environment (Line testing) across ECUs
• Align and support SQA processes and activities within functional areas such as Factory testing and their testing platform
• Document test case failures, gather data and details and enter into our bug tracking system (Jira)
• Coordinate and communicate the rollout of new processes, quality metrics and tools with all impacted teams 

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years experience in creating and executing test cases supporting SW validation.
• Understanding of SW builds and release systems
• Experience or classes using Jira, Agile/Scrum/Sprint methodology is a plus
• Exposure to Scripting and automating in SW
• Experience with software development best practices

Education:

• BS minimum in Computer science, computer Engineering or similar

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Bay Area Salary Range: $107,300 - $147,510

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
