Software Quality Engineer

Flex is looking for talented Quality Engineers to help us build, scale, and improve our bill payment products & services.  You’ll work closely with engineering teams to help them test and deploy with efficiency while continuing to raise the bar on quality. This person should be comfortable working with different teams, technologies, and stakeholders. Strong communication and analytical skills are very desirable traits. We believe quality is something bigger than a role.

What you’ll do:

• Partner with your quality engineering lead and other engineers to understand and execute test plans
• Maintain our test plans and expand test coverage
• Provide clear documentation for defects and manage defects to resolution
• Create scripts to automate repetitive tasks to improve our testing efficiency
• Perform manual testing to support production application releases
• Strive to find simple solutions to complex problems

Who you are:

• 4+ years of professional experience working with software development testing best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience creating and executing functional, regression, acceptance and smoke tests for consumer applications
• Experience scripting and automating tests using shell, python or node
• Must Have: Test management, api management, version control, mobile dev tools & emulators
• Nice to have: Observability tools, cloud infrastructure, distributed services

The national pay range for this role is $50,000-$60,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
