Software Senior Engineer - Application Security (Remote)

Join us as a Software Senior Engineer on our Application Security team.  This will be a US remote position. Core working hours are typical business hours in the Eastern time zone.

What you will do
As a Software Senior Engineer on the Application Security team, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on developing cutting edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings. Boomi’s Application Security team has a particular focus on platform-wide security features, as well as identifying, triaging, and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
You will:

• Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the software development lifecycle
• Guide and participate in design, development, unit testing, and deployment of Boomi products and services including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported
• Develop new security solutions/tools to prevent security vulnerabilities and assist in addressing existing security problems
• Investigate and resolve complex customer issues
• Work independently with a minimal level of guidance from technical leadership
• Investigate the impact on Boomi and our clients of current security advisories, publications, and trends
• Collaborate other Boomi engineers, including design collaboration and code reviews
• Research, validate, and recommend technology decisions for new features

What you’ll need to succeed in this role

• Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
• Experience in software development, including the use of some IDE with a solid understanding of object-oriented design concepts for delivering and maintaining a software product
• Experience with Java, source control systems, continuous integration tools
• Experience with agile collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with Web Services technologies including REST, SOAP, and WSDL

Additional experience desired

• 4+ years of experience in software development
• Experience using Linux/Unix environments
• Knowledge of security testing techniques
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, SANS 25, and CWE
