This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Who we are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Software Solutions Engineer to support our C5ISR ISR - Joint Network of Engineering and Emerging Operations (JNEEO) Portal. This role can be a hybrid opportunity based out of our Fairfax, VA location. This role will support the team in technical planning, system design, API integration, modernization, migration, and validation for our FEDSIM customer and HII Mission Partner Organizations!

You will conduct research and maintain knowledge of evolving trends and the latest advancements in technology implementation to aid in developing innovative approaches and cutting-edge portal solutions. Knowledge of DoD and industry best practices are necessary to help define strategies that may include enterprise architecture models, business capability models, process definitions and various operating models. You will identify the most important issues or opportunities, maximize value by conducting rigorous system level analysis (concept, design, development, test, operation, and maintenance), and support the implementation and integration of services into the HII JNEEO Portal Solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Digital Strategy: Collaborating to address issues, decisions, actions, and investments in Portal Solutions.
• Portal Strategy: Helping shape the direction of Portal Solutions to align the overall stakeholder and business vision and objectives and drive measurable innovations.
• Technology Innovation and Ecosystems: Exploring new and emerging data management and visualization technologies & services to provide cutting-edge business solutions.
• Operating Model: Assist in shaping the Portal Solution functionality and operations to achieve the stakeholder objectives.
• Data Strategy: Helping to enable organizations to access hosted services, including applications and business processes via the Portal Solution.
• Ability to work with a team in support of senior level Government leaders (GS-15 and SES).
• Strong belief in service and customer support.
• Ability to be collaborative across a wide array of individuals at varying levels of technical skills.
• Effective writing and speaking ability to communicate complex strategies and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leaders.

What you need to have:

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Experience with one or more of the following:
  • SharePoint (On-Premise & Online Environments).
  • Migration & Application Modernization within SharePoint.
  • 3rd Party Cloud-based Applications for Data Management (Smartsheet, PowerShell Automation, Power BI, Power Apps, SPO Integrations.
  • Enterprise Cloud Provider: [Azure, AWS].
  • Agile [strategy, transformation, or operating model].
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Lean Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) implementation experience.
  • DevSecOps design/deployment experience.
  • Broad, diverse experience and knowledge of major technologies (legacy to emerging).
• Ability to travel to customer location(s) occasionally with advance notice.
• Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Bonus points for:

• Bachelors in Data Science, Computer Systems or equivalent technologies/experience.
• 2+ years of contributions to Enterprise Data Management development or deployment.
• 3+ years of experience in supporting at least 2 of the following areas:
  • Enterprise Data Strategy Planning, Implementation, or Development.
  • Enterprise Data Security Strategy Implementation or Development.
  • Enterprise Data Technology Innovation and Ecosystems Implementation or Development.
  • Enterprise Data Operating Model Implementation or Development.
  • Enterprise Data Visualization Implementation or Development.
  • AI/ML/Data Strategy Implementation or Development.
• 2+ years of experience supporting the functional analysis of technology solutions.
• 2+ years of experience contributing to small/medium teams including planning, analytical work, and team workshops.
