Software Specialist

Software Specialist. Troy, MI. Define and lead development of software architecture. Develop and implement architecture and verification plans. Drive and conduct design/implementation reviews. Advise project/program management in planning. Partition technology layer functions and interfaces to support reusability, flexibility, maintainability, and modularization. Govern software interfaces by participating in multi-functional team discussions. Enable and support software engineering team to analyze top issues and execute improvement actions for root cause. Provide technical leadership and work as interface to internal software developers and external contractors. Promote common/platform software architecture and best practices. Cooperate with system team in determining customer requirements and interface specifications. Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science and five years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer in the automotive industry. Experience must include: designing core software architecture, developing embedded software components for ECUs, debugging issues on bench, and use of MATLAB, JIRA, CANalyzer, Lauterbach, ISO26262, ISO21434, and SAEJ3061.
