A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Responsible for performing assessments of software products in accordance with software test plans and procedures to ensure a high level of software quality and consistency. Troubleshoots and characterizes defects, providing detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports. Maintains documentation of test operations and reports results to engineering. Works closely with members of the Project, Development, and Production Support teams to meet agreed-upon deliverables.
- Executes software validation protocols.
- Assists product development engineers in replication of product failures.
- Verifies fixes are applied by executing targeted tests.
- Effectively communicates with peers and project team both through email and via face-to-face interactions.
- Develops and maintains effective working relations with colleagues in a business area, proactively answering queries on testing and following up on actions with stakeholders.
- Performs and documents software test evaluations in compliance with test plan procedures.
- Efficiently manages own time to complete work and associated paperwork by assigned completion dates.
- Reviews data for compliance to specifications and report abnormalities.
- Confirms completion of the required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.
- Takes responsibility for self-development, actively seeking feedback and responding accordingly.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
YOU'RE AWESOME AT:
- Demonstrated ability to execute multiple priorities, while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Strong logical thinking, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Skilled at promoting team cooperation and a commitment to team success.
- Working knowledge of SCRUM and Agile practices.
- Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
EXTRA AWESOME:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- 6 plus months experience testing software
- Experience working in a team setting.
- Experience in proof reading, following detailed work instructions, and projects requiring critical thinking skills.
- Prior medical device experience, preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
