Job Description
Analyze, test and document the Scalable Solider Machine Interface (SSMI) core components. The SSMI Components are a set of custom User Interface (UI) plugins, reusable UIs (that are a logical collection of custom plugins) and services that provide data transfer between the UIs and ground vehicle interfaces. Each of the UI and service components will be analyzed to create requirements documents that will be used to develop test procedures. The test procedures will be automated and run on a continuous basis with critical bugs being fixed prior to release of a new software version. Developer guides will be created that provide detailed descriptions of all software library interfaces along with sample code snippets and screenshots.
- Development of system and software requirements
- Development of system and software design documentation
- Development of new software features, problem fixes, upgrades, and enhancements to existing capabilities.
- Development and execution of manual test procedures
- Development of automated test software and implementation of automated test frameworks
- Support for Cybersecurity design and certification activities, including development and management of artifacts for the Risk Management Framework.
Basic Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in test engineering of modern hardware/software systems.
- 5-8 years of requirements analysis experience and must be fully trained or have experience in the testing of systems at the component, integration, system, and end-to-end levels.
- Strong C/C++ Knowledge
- Familiar with System Integration Lab (SIL) equipment.
- Experience with requirements and interface documentation
- Experience with network debugging tools such as Wireshark.
- Knowledgeable in Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Experience developing with common bus interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, and Serial.
- Experience operating within Linux and Windows environments.
- Ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and contribute to an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Scrum environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other persons from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through written and oral means.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office software applications including MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with the Agile Framework.
Certifications
DoD Secret Security Clearance Required
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 5 years relevant testing experience.
