Software Test Engineer (Web + iOS)

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer for Lobbipad

What you'll do

• Define and maintain test plans and test cases for functional and automated regression, and performance testing.

• Prioritize key tests and scenarios based on historic issues, in collaboration with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.

• Identify gaps in test approach, strategize on a plan to fill the gaps, and then execute that plan.

• Define and implement metrics to communicate the quality of the products you are responsible for.

• Take initiative on opportunities to improve the QE process, and to expand test coverage and capabilities.

• You have a quality first mindset and you can help build a strong culture of testing and continuous improvement.

Who you are

• You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in Mobile Testing using tools like Espresso, Appium, Selendroid, UI Automator. 

• You have experience building test strategies, test plans and can create flexible and reusable test cases that can cover a wide range of use cases and edge cases.

• You are comfortable working with other teams to understand common pain points and incorporate them into new test scenarios. 

• You have mobile testing and automation experience; familiarity with Javascript, Swift; willingness or ability to maintain automation tests (low to "no-code" alternatives are also ok); proficiency with formulas, or proficiency with Airtable. Bonus points if you've created infrastructure for CI to use in running automation.

We don't hire people often, and positions rarely open up. So when we do add a member to the team, we're pretty diligent about it. This is a very different attitude to most companies.

We’re profitable, we have unlimited runway, and extremely healthy revenue growth. There is no investor pressure or time limit or need to hire as many people as fast as possible to fill a fancy office. We want to keep the team as small as we can, automate as much as possible with robots, build great software, and enjoy our work as much as possible. Those are the things we optimise for. All jobs at The Offix start with an application form, progressing to 1-2 short phone interviews, and finally a paid trial project. Rather than trying to guess if we'll work well together based on lengthy arbitrary interview questions - instead we invite promising candidates to work on a real life trial project with us and pay them for their time (for example: testing some basic features). Trial projects are typically 1-2 weeks of work, and give us an opportunity to get to know each other prior to pursuing a full time offer. It’s also a chance for candidates to get to know the Offix team and make sure that it’s a good fit for them.
