Solution Architect

Job Description

Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is seeking a Solution Architect to serve as a chief technical SME responsible for understanding business requirements and layering in technical advice and direction. As part of the Enterprise Architecture team, our Solution Architect will define and approve end to end architecture design spanning across projects, SaaS/PaaS adoption, custom application development, and other platform customization and implementation. The role is intended to provide continuity to the projects from a technical perspective and will be a key technical "lead" for high impact projects.

With their key understanding of existing technical solutions and architecture at the firm, the Solution Architect must be forward looking, to help outline roadmaps for continued improvement to the systems and solutions at the firm. This role will work closely with our Product/Project teams to drive the product roadmap and ensure the optimum features are made available, both reducing the cost of deployment and improving the quality of our solutions. Fragomen's solutions serve over 6,000 internal employees, and millions of external customer users.

How you will make a difference as a Solution Architect with Fragomen:

• Serve as chief technical SME responsible for understanding business requirements and layering in technical advice and direction.
• Define and approve end to end architecture design spanning across projects, SaaS/PaaS adoption, custom application development, other platform customization and implementation.
• Ensure project continuity from a technical perspective and will be a key
• Serve as technical "lead" for assigned projects
• Leverage key understanding of existing technical solutions and architecture at the firm
• Outline roadmaps for continued improvement to the systems and solutions at the firm
• Work closely with our Product/Project teams to drive the product roadmap and ensure the optimum features are made available, in order to reduce the cost of deployment and improve the quality of our solutions.
• Recommend the best options to fit within our architecture while providing the best possible solutions
• Deliver secure solutions that deal with highly sensitive data
• Navigate complex requirements relating to regions, countries, and governments as it relates to data governance
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills for effective dialogue with colleagues on a project team and with customers
• Develop enhancements with the customer with the objective of harvesting already deployed Solutions.
• Set technical priorities and influence key stakeholders on technical matters
• Build and foster technical relationship with the customers at all levels including C-Level representatives

Let's talk if you have the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 6 years of relevant industry experience within consulting or legal industries
• Previous experience as Solution Architect or an analogous Technical SME role
• Experience working in application development environments
• Experience in a variety of technologies, and understanding of how to recommend best practices and best options to fit architecture while providing the best solution
• A mind towards delivering secure solutions that deal with highly sensitive data
• Experience with complex requirements relating to regions, countries, and governments as it relates to data governance
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective dialogue with colleagues on a project team and with customers
• Ability and experience brainstorming enhancements with customers with the objective of harvesting already deployed Solutions. Experience and skill in present benefits and how these will reduce the pain
• You have a clear ability to set technical priorities and are comfortable making decisions on how best to deliver these
• Experience influencing key stakeholders and securing buy in on technical decisions
• Positive, solution-focused attitude and with enthusiasm for challenges
• Collaboration skills and openness to explore all technical design options
• Ability to build and foster the technical relationship with customers at all levels including C-Level representatives
• Ability to drive technical teams through task definition and assignment in conjunction a Project Manager
