Solution Architect

Overview
The Gogo Business Aviation Solutions Architect will carry out the analysis and design of back office and operational systems within the Systems Engineering & Architecture team. The aspiring candidate will develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the needs of various stakeholder groups throughout the organization from a business perspective and how they translate into technical objectives. Efforts include defining, documenting and communicating system requirements to support the implementation of products and features, with a particular focus on ground systems.
This is an extremely exciting time at Gogo, where our newest products are enabling us to provide real-time world class support and customization unlike anything else in business aviation. This role is an integral part of taking our foundational work to the next level and using our data-rich ground systems to continually push the limits of what is possible in aviation - both on the ground and in the air.

How will you make a difference?

• Effectively communicate design guidance, architecture, and requirements to other engineering teams to implement
• Work with a cross functional team to define the solution to new products and features, including capture, analysis, articulation and execution on requirements from Product Management, Manufacturing, and Customer Support teams
• Act as a liaison and interpreter between business units, technology teams and support teams
• Assist with generating systems level guidance and requirements for business analysts, engineers, and architects.
• Provide software developers, software engineers and test teams with clear, refined requirements, process flows and acceptance criteria decomposed from shareholder asks
• Discover technical solutions that improve the customer experience, increase efficiency and shorten maintenance periods of our customers
• Develop a thorough understanding of the business processes, technical designs and specifications in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or Technical field or equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years of proven experience in business process design and requirements management related to integrated software systems

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TALENTS

• Ability to simplify complex processes or ideas and effectively communicate a current or future function
• Skilled at creating workflow, business process and UML diagrams using tools such as Visio or LucidChart
• Creative thinker with great communication skills and strong initiative

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TALENTS

• Systematic understanding of integrated back office systems, including but not limited to ERP, CRM, Subscription-based Accounting, and Case Management/Customer Operations systems
• Understanding of AWS services, product, and best practices
• Experience in the technology industry using an Agile delivery methodology
• Familiarity with the telecommunications or aviation industry
• 1+ years' experience with integrating, verifying, and/or validating complex systems comprised of multiple sub-systems

Base Pay:
72,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
