A fast growing business within NICE is the NICE Public Safety and Justice Line of Business, which develops state of the art solutions that integrate and put into context information from many sources to help emergency control rooms and investigation departments reconstruct and understand the who, what, when, where and why of an incident. This business also provides industry leading cloud solutions for the Criminal Justice market for the acquisition, management and analysis of digital evidence for over 3,000 public safety customers, including many major global cities. 

Due to increasing demand for our solutions the Cloud Operations is expanding its ability to deliver and maintain customer systems, by creating new regional focus for our expansion in North America 

A successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a key player in rapidly growing business area. 

 
Scope: 

We are looking for a talented implementation specialist to join our technology team. Primary focus will be on implementing the technical aspects of NICE product deployments and non-standard configuration requests as well as assisting product teams to successfully introduce new products/versions. Champion supportability and preventative action on behalf of our customers. 

This role is responsible for: 

  • Implement and support custom deployments and integration of various NICE product suites for clients. 
  • Work on non-standard configuration requests, manual database and file manipulations and other advanced system adjustments. 
  • Work effectively with staff in all areas of the business, escalating when appropriate to management and/or R&D. Take into account technical and commercial relationships with end users, partners and service providers. 
  • Accurately track effort on tasks - recognize scope and effort variances early, evaluate impact and raise issues as appropriate. 
  • Use best practice methods, quality standards, and guidelines on all project phases. 

  

You must: 

  • Be comfortable working as part of a distributed team
  • Work with minimal guidance once trained
  • Be comfortable communicating with customers at all levels
  • Have excellent written and verbal communications in English
  • Be an excellent problem solver and work under pressure
  • Be able to travel nationally with a few days’ notice.

  

Knowledge and experience: 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field preferred. However, suitable and demonstrable professional experience will also be considered.

  

Must have experience of 

  • Experience as a system/implementation engineer for complex data driven solutions 
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell / .Net / C#/Java, etc.) 
  • Experience with Postman or Fiddler 
  • In depth knowledge of data handling and MS SQL 
  • Experience with third party API’s (REST, SOAP) 
  • Experience with third party systems and integrations 
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills 
  • Experience with Windows server and client technology 
  • Efficient, effective and respectful communication skills both with customers and within internal departments. Including; 
  • Good listener, able to identify and validate assumptions 
  • Able to use effective questioning to confirm understanding of a customer problem and then provide help to solve it 
  • Methodical troubleshooting, technical skill and attention to detail used in diagnosing problems and reproducing issues in a local environment 
  • Multi-tasking and time-management to prioritize and switch between varied tasks 

  

Ideally have knowledge of some of the following 

  • Experience of Programming (e.g. C#)
  • Experience with .Net framework
  • Experience with Azure technologies
  • Information systems in public safety Examples 9RMS, CAD, radio, telephone)
  • law enforcement information systems
  • the principles of information systems security
  • use of database systems
  • web, cloud applications
  • network design appreciation
  • Microsoft-based operating systems and Azure appreciation
  • policing or criminal justice sector within an IT environment for 6 years or more

  

NOTE – Successful candidates will need to be security checked to US requirements
