JOB SUMMARY

The Solution Architect provides technical support to client and technology management to ensure development of efficient application systems utilizing established standards, procedures and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale enterprise systems and will be responsible for designing complex solutions that meet business needs while ensuring that they are scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Drives development methodology, and owns development team tools, processes, and deliverables
• Provide architectural leadership in evaluating new releases and features of middleware and recommending which features would provide most benefit to the business
• Systematically review existing processes with the vision to introducing new or improved processes that lead to increased efficiency and accuracy in reporting and data analysis
• Evaluate business requirements to determine how IT can support those wants with software, hardware or infrastructure
• Design or modify technology architecture
• Define and deliver of proofs of concepts, reference architectures, and solution validation
• Test integration of software in these designs for correct functionality
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify problems and then work with our IT Team to address those problems with innovative software solutions
• Develop technical specifications based on functional requirements
• Provide guidance to development teams throughout the SDLC
• Ensure that all solutions meet business needs

COMPETENCY

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect
• Data integration design and development experience utilizing the Jitterbit Middleware
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems
• Experience with Dynamics F&O integration via API a plus
• Familiarity with data transformation, data modeling and mapping, process and middleware development, API design and development
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office software
• Proven problem solving and analytical skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent organization and follow through skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
• Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment

Work Environment

Works in a typical office environment with quiet-to-moderate noise generated by computer printer, fax machine and light traffic. 20% travel required as needed.

Expected Hours of Work

The position is fulltime and frequently requires working additional time outside of normal business hours.
