Solution Architect – Advisory Management

The Solution Architect designs solutions that align with enterprise and data architecture and business strategy, focusing on long term technical sustainability of the solution. They act as quality assurance engineer during implementation, leveraging their understanding of the current tech stack on both the Data & AI and Business/IT sides within NN. They make clear architectural decisions to ensure the development of data, AI, and cloud applications aligns with NN’s data and AI technology and cloud adoption strategy. They support application architecture and deployment in data and cloud environments according to NN standards, guidelines, relevant regulations, and the life insurance business context. Additionally, they engage in international cooperation to ensure seamless integration and implementation across global teams.

what is the role about:

• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with tech leads, software engineers, Product Owners, agile leads, and business stakeholders to provide solutions for specific business use cases across different domains.

• Architectural Alignment: Collaborate with the broader architecture community to ensure solutions align with target architectures and technology roadmaps.

• Solution Design and Documentation: Prepare solution designs, concept visualizations, and documentation for the architecture review board, emphasizing business impact, compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and DevOps/MLOps principles.

• Architectural Evaluation and Recommendations: Evaluate design approaches, make architectural recommendations, and articulate architectural decisions and tradeoffs.

• Hands-on Development and Quality Assurance: Serve as principal engineer in cross-functional teams, providing hands-on development activities and reviews to ensure the quality of developed components.

• Guidance and Mentorship: Offer guidance to other engineers on architecture principles and best practices.

• Technical Evaluation and Vision: Identify and evaluate current technical solutions and technology choices, and create a fluid, end-to-end vision for modern, headless, and MASA architectures.

• Integration and Nonfunctional Requirements: Integrate nonfunctional requirements into solution designs (e.g., scalability, security, performance, data recovery, reliability) and apply knowledge of integration platforms, patterns, and modern backend/frontend frameworks.

Your profile:

• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends;

• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.

• 5+ years experience designing, executing and supporting IT data &cloud solutions.

• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.

• Microsoft Azure Certified Solutions Expert or similar
