Solutions Architect - Managed Services

We are seeking qualified Solutions Architects to help deliver our Elastic Operations service from our Managed Services team in Bangalore, India, as we continue our rapid growth with an expansion of our Indian subsidiary, phData Solutions Private Limited. This expansion comes at the right time with increasing customer demand for data and platform solutions.  This is a very senior-level hands-on technical subject matter expert position. Hence, only experienced candidates with a deep passion for understanding and designing complex data solutions must apply.

As a Solutions Architect on our Managed Services team, you will be responsible for scoping and leading teams to deliver large-scale, complex data platform and infrastructure projects running on Snowflake and other native cloud platform services in AWS and Azure. In addition you will need the ability to learn and quickly upskill on data ecosystem technologies related to data ingestion, data migration, platform design, and architecture, with some exposure to data visualization. 

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate clear ownership of client relationships and act as a key technical leader. 
• Proactively identify and articulate best practices and improvements to customers on how to best leverage their Cloud Data Platform. 
• Skillfully navigate complex customer environments to build Epics, Stories, and Tasks in order to mature and improve our customer’s data platform.  Delegate to and coach Engineers and ensure the successful and timely delivery of these Epics.
• Mentor and train phData Engineers on technology and best practices.
• Propose, design, and provision cloud-native data solutions on AWS/Azure. Leverage a deep understanding of Snowflake, IAM, S3, EC2, Kinesis, Sagemaker, Airflow, Kafka, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Fivetran, Matillion, DBT, and other services and tools in designing and enhancing these solutions. 
• Lead discussions and contribute to design recommendations for data model design for Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Continually hunt for ways to automate and optimize existing tasks to improve overall service efficiency. 

Required Experience: 

• Extensive experience in providing architectural guidance and operational support across a large user base for a cloud-native data warehouse (Snowflake and/or Redshift). 
• Snowflake SnowPro Core certification is preferred.
• Deep expertise with cloud-native data technologies in AWS or Azure. 
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and the ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.
• Very well versed with continuous integration and deployment procedures with hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Bitbucket, Github, Flyway, Liquibase. 
• Working experience with IaC using Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Strong Knowledge in designing data models on Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
• Good understanding of scripting language to automate repetitive tasks (preferred Python).
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Proven experience as a technical team lead and mentorship of engineers.
• Open to learning new technology stacks and up-skill/training the other team members.
