Job Description Summary

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to play key role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the Rockwell's technology strategy and processes. The Solution Architect will partner with business and technology groups to ensure alignment of technology solutions with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides cross-product/cross-technology expertise to capability teams, provides input on and evaluates solution design and is consulted during release planning (e.g., standards for database design, determination of primary keys, etc.)
• Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent technology framework is applied across the company, maintains awareness and visibility of organizational standards and best practices
• Partners with IT and business leaders to act as an advisor to strategic planning efforts aligned to organizational priority and vision.
• Helps business leaders clarify their objectives and expectations for advancing digital experience investment(s)
• Engages with the business and teams during ideation and design, guides technology selection, develops architectural artifacts in partnership with lead engineer and dev team(s) and ensure compliance with security, identity and access management, Enterprise Architecture, etc.
• Introduces and accelerates new technologies and methodologies to support digital transformation
• Brings a customer experience lens to IT strategy
• Partners with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions
• Assesses the current IT environment and develops a future state IT architecture in partnership with Enterprise Architecture
• Supports the design and modeling of tactical architectures for the delivery, development, and support of projects
• Supports the design and management of reference architectures
• Partners with other solution architects to provide secure, scalable, and adaptable architectural solutions
• Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve information flows

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field
• Legal authorization to work in the United Stated, as Rockwell Automation will not now or in the future offer sponsorship for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Experience building strategic technology plans and roadmaps
• Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex financial solutions (e.g., SAP, Vertex, OnBase, etc.)
• Understanding of financial and accounting principles, processes, and systems
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements for finance and accounting in a global setting (i.e., GAAP, SOX, IFRS, GDPR)
• Familiarity of multi-currency management and international taxation
• Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
• Demonstrated experience with business process and performance modeling, benchmarking, and financial analysis
• Knowledge of architectural design frameworks, integration frameworks and patterns
• Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must exhibit excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
• In-depth knowledge of Cloud environments (Azure Preferred)
