CUSTOMER

Our client develops various products for real-time betting and has a trusted brand with global recognition in the sports betting and gaming market. 
Their apps process 500 online bets per second, which is equivalent to the number of orders processed by Amazon UK on its busiest day of the year. With their products, more than 20 million players and 160 terabytes of data are handled daily. 

PROJECT

Our customer has different projects ranging from widgets to mobile casinos and betting sites. 

The company works in a highly loaded environment, so the team consists of highly qualified specialists in this area, making reliable and scalable cloud-based applications. 

The customer works in small, independent teams that are responsible for their own products and aim to manage everything from deployment to operation. This allows development to occur at a high rate aiming at short time-to-market for developed features. In these teams, you will have a lot of freedom and great opportunities to influence the final product while cooperating with others! 

Job Description

• Ensure all designs meet business needs, are clearly articulated, meet quality standards, and are communicated effectively to all relevant teams to guarantee understanding of the purpose and implementation, not just the final product 
• Focus on customer needs to drive design decisions, incorporating process changes across multiple domains including security, operations risk, audit, compliance, etc.
• Provide guidance on technical adoption opportunities to support our business targets. Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Managers and Developers to ensure teams realize the architecture and understand the approach, adapting communication styles as needed
• Take responsibility for architectural design, governance adherence, and stakeholder engagement for all your solutions
• Maintain a strong customer focus by ensuring regular communication and accurate reporting
• Identify and resolve any architectural issues/risks that could impact the security model or service delivery
• Lead and direct any ‘Proof of Concept’ or prototyping of solutions

Qualifications

• At least 5+ of experience in software development with proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and ReactJS 
• Proven ability to optimize development processes and recommend effective solutions 
• Experience in basic business requirements discovery, constraints analysis, requirements modeling, and risk management 
• Ability to plan and implement systems integrations with excellent communication and presentation skills 
• Capability to abstract complex systems into manageable models and maintain control over the architecture lifecycle while focusing on long-term vision and short-term goals 
• Skills in making critical implementation, operation, and maintenance decisions, and in setting and measuring quality objectives 
• Experience in inspiring, mentoring, and encouraging colleagues to promote continuous technical growth and effective code reuse 
• Ability to balance technical excellence with incurred costs, ensuring budget and schedule objectives are met while satisfying quality criteria
