Solution Architect Lead

As a Solutions Architect Lead, you will join the Global Technology Strategy and Architecture (GTSA)team. In this exciting opportunity you will drive transformational change and innovation across Global Business Services (GBS) and Enterprise Technology. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company, from delivering multi-year/multi-million Financial Transformation Programs to applying Generative AI in HR, Legal and Compliance.

As a Solutions Architect Lead your responsibilities include:

• GBS Ecosystem Understanding:
  • You will develop an in-depth understanding of the ecosystem supporting Capital Group's corporate capabilities. This includes Global Finance and Sourcing, HR, Legal and Compliance, Global Risk Management, Global Communications, BMO, ECO, IT, and Office Services.
  • You will identify opportunities for process rationalization, automation, and data driving decision making.
• Strategic Influence:
  • You will collaborate with business and technology leaders to influence and define strategic technology direction.
  • You will shape target state solutions and develop product roadmaps for GBS and Enterprise Technology.
• Business Alignment:
  • You will work closely with business partners to understand their requirements, concerns, and priorities.
  • You will seek to understand challenging business demands and use influencing skills to steer and ensure that IT application and business teams are solutioning to meet appropriate solution quality and cost/benefit metrics.
• Architecture Solution Design and Leadership:
  • You will partner with GBS application team members and leaders to drive solutions consistent with architectural principles and standards.
  • You will develop end-to-end solution blueprints and architecture POVs guiding application teams in designing practical software solutions aligned with long-term strategic engineering practices (data, integration, infrastructure, application, and business).
• Mentorship:
  • You will provide guidance and mentorship to GBS embedded Architects working in this complex and rewarding area of GTSA for GBS.

• You have a bachelor's degree in computer science. Engineering, or a related field.
• You have 10+ years of hands-on software development and architecture experience.
• Your expertise extends to data management, data modeling, and information architecture.
• You have deep understanding of architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices.
• You have proven success in engaging business partners and translating concepts into well-designed technology solutions.
• You have a track record of driving cross-organizational large initiatives. You can seamlessly partner with Product, business users, Enterprise Data Office, Portfolio Architects, and other technology teams.
• You have strong leadership and mentoring abilities; you lead through influence and not through direction.
• You have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• You have experience with SAP, Workday, Service Now, or other large vendor products in managing corporate capabilities is a plus.
• You have experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud platforms/technologies is a plus.
• You have experience with DataBricks, Snowflake, or other data management platforms/technologies is also valued.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $187,370-$299,792

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
