The Solution Architect applies deep Health and benefits admin expertise and an understanding of client priorities to create compelling solutions that bring our value proposition to life and increase our win and renewal rate.

The Solution Architect is client-facing and partners with Sales Executives (SEs) through all stages of the sales process - from introductory meetings to RFPs, finalist meetings, contracting and hand-off to the implementation team. In addition, the Solution Architect is responsible for staying current on competitors, H&W trends, compliance developments and Alight capabilities. Solution Architects are also an important source of market feedback - working closely with Alight product owners to inform our roadmap.

Responsibilities

Health Point Solutions expertise

  • Domain expertise in either Dependent Verification, Compliance, or Reimbursement Account administration
  • Maintain expertise in Health admin, Customer Care and Point Solutions as well as working knowledge of other Alight capabilities (Wealth, Cloud and Payroll, Consumer Experience).
  • Articulate and communicate health value proposition and key differentiators
  • Collaborate with Health Leaders to stay connected to operations and delivery practices and share market insights. Utilize this network to ensure we are bringing the latest insights to the sales process.
  • Keeps Sale Executives current on Health solutions, trends, and legislative and industry changes

Sales process

  • Assist SEs in the development of prospect sales strategy - have a point of view
  • Perform discovery and scoping (e.g., identify complexity drivers)
  • Work with SE and Business leaders to develop scope of solution and determine platform
  • Provide input to strategic questions related to defining the opportunity
  • Complete solution workbook and coordinate with Finance and SE on deal model
  • Tailor materials and demo based on solution, client need and competitive landscape. Create new materials where needed.
  • Play a lead role in sales meetings, with ability to engage Health experts and leaders at the prospect. Lead effective solution demos (e.g., Alight Worklife, app, employer tools) - bring the solution to life via story-telling vs. a feature/function demo

RFP Support

  • Review, update, and provide input on RFP responses after initial draft is provided by the proposal team
  • Create responses for Health-related RFP questions where needed
  • Update scope-related RFP response documents to ensure they match the deal model
  • Create client-specific delivery model
  • Own Health-related follow ups (e.g., questions received from Third-Party Evaluator)
  • Assist with periodic review of RFP library content - ensure responses are compelling and reflect the latest on our solutions

Product Development

  • Provide input to product owners - insights and feedback from prospects and Third-Party Evaluators to inform priorities and enhancements.
  • Coordinate with business leaders and product owners on scope items that may require special development or staffing.
  • Coordinate with product owners to ensure that latest solution developments are reflected in sales materials and assist with building SA expertise in these areas

Qualifications

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Benefits administration and sales knowledge preferred

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a range of Health Point Solutions (Dependent Verification, Compliance, or Reimbursement Accounts)
  • Deep knowledge of Health Point Solutions (Dependent Verification, Compliance, or Reimbursement Accounts) and delivery models, the capabilities of administration platforms, and compliance considerations
  • Demonstrated track record applying domain expertise in client delivery or sales
  • Agility and organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple concurrent opportunities
  • Excellent client communication and consulting skills - able to lead engaging conversations, adapt on the fly and have a point-of-view
  • Proven experience in building and developing senior client relationships
  • Experience in promoting a team environment
  • Flexibility to travel (sometimes on short notice) to support meetings with prospects

Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere in between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $90,000.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $100,000.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be bonus eligible.
