Summary of Role/Position

We are currently seeking a Solution Architect for our Enterprise Search. This role will work with multiple stakeholders, business and technology teams and coordinate project execution. Ensure that projects are completed to specification.

You Will

• Optimize and enhance our enterprise search capabilities
• Convert existing monolithic application into Micro service-oriented architecture.
• Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes needed.
• Improve speed and performance of the overall search index creation process.
• Improve speed and performance of the index, making search available faster to the web.
• Discover bottlenecks in existing search and deploy solutions to address bottlenecks.
• Deliver quality code supported by good documentation and tests.
• Analyze business requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing features
• Work with business users to Architect, design and implement new features and customizations to the platform
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Collaborate with offshore team.
• Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
• Develop Solution Prototype.
• Resolving technical problems as they arise.

You Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of programming experience including eCommerce web applications
• 6+ years of experience in LAMP technologies (Linux, Apache, mySQL and PHP)
• 3+ years of experience with MySQL or similar technology
• Must have experience working with catalog systems and Elastic Search
• Experience in Caching technologies preferred (e.g., Redis or memcached)
• Git (know it like the back of your hand)
• Strong understanding of Distributed Systems
• Strong experience with data structures, algorithms and databases
• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design
• Strong knowledge/understanding of OOP
• Experience in eCommerce catalogs and catalog management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Experience in Nodejs is plus
• Experience in developing application in docker container is plus
