Solution Design Engineer

Product Design Engineering focuses on designing and developing new or existing products, components, or assemblies.

Your tasks

Role and responsibilities

• Based on the analysis of customer requirements/specification and data flow, design and estimate of small/medium size solutions based on Kardex products.

o Pro-active participation in solution-finding process

o Technical feasibility (Go-No Go or change of solution)

o Technical approval of projects

• Provide 2D and 3D drawings of our equipment to be inserted into system layouts.

• Produces system specification for customer.
• Define and control technical, cost and contracting aspects of quotes with intra-company departments and vendors.
• Support Business development manager during sales activities.

• Ensure all global and central guidelines are adhered to throughout the local company.

• Actively drive the local development of intralogistics system know-how in Sales and Realization.
• Support local Sales to proactively promote design and system capabilities through customer visits.

• Experience in a sales support engineering role.
• Experience analyzing warehouse sku and order data using Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI.
• Experience with warehouse automation and associated technologies.
• Knowledge and experience in logistics/warehousing/distribution.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and 3D Design preferred.
• Very good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be fluent in English. German knowledge will be a plus.
• Flexible to travel across Spain for customers visits.
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic about his/her work.
• Works well in a team environment collaborating on projects.
• Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
• Efficient time management and organization skills.
• Identifies, analyzes, understands problems in daily work and provides the solution.
• Flexible to adapt to same-day and next-day changes to project scope and location.

Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Software Engineering.
