Solution Engineer

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of cloud-based customer solutions. This role is essential to developing deep, trusted relationships with clients at all levels, including executives, business owners and professionals translating technology capabilities into the appropriate business value. The person in this role will work with Equifax's top clients as a technical consultant on client implementations. Also responsible for engaging in pre-sales activities to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and ensure Equifax capabilities are fully and effectively leveraged. The Solution Engineer will work in partnership with one or more scrum teams; including Development and QA resources.
What you'll do
- Consult with internal and/or external customers to understand their business problem, propose Equifax products and services, document requirements, and design the technology solution
- Reviews IT requirements and business processes and implements customer-centric solutions by partnering directly with Product Owners and technical delivery teams
- Manage ongoing relationships and the operational delivery of services to clients, serving as the point of contact regarding overall and day-to-day service delivery
- Lead configuration management sales support, transactional research, and application troubleshooting
- Work across multiple teams to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities related to Equifax products and services; partnering with Development and QA resources to manage requirements, review for quality, and manage the delivery to high profile clients
- Act as the partner liaison, creating and prioritizing the backlog, and providing acceptance of deliverables
- Utilize creative problem solving to craft solutions for unique and complex problems, typically requiring conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions
- Communicate complex, technical issues to a variety of audiences, including enterprise clients and experienced software developers/architects
- Assist with and conduct requirements discovery sessions with customers. Discover ways to improve internal processes and increase efficiency
- Developing a deep understanding of Equifax data, technologies, products and platforms; and proactively supporting colleagues, both individually as well as via contribution to internal knowledge portals
- Travel: 10% travel to various locations across the United States is required
What experience you need
- Bachelor's degree, or higher level education required
- Minimum of 3 years' of experience in customer facing/consulting roles supporting enterprise clients and proposing solutions as you work through customer pain points and changes
- At least 1 year of experience working in a cloud environment and ability to integrate with APIs in design
- Minimum of 3 years' of experience in IT, Business Analysis, or Product Owner experience
- 1-3 years' experience with relational databases and SQL queries
What could set you apart
- Knowledge and/or experience with credit
- Cloud computing knowledge, Certified GCP or AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or education
- Background in IT, Business Analysis, or Product Owner experience
