Reporting to the Manager, Solutions Engineer Health Plan, the Solutions Engineer III will lead in the implementation of new and existing health plans for the Essentials and Intelligent Gateway products in a client facing role with specialized product knowledge for specific products. This includes conducting product demonstrations, clarifying both business and technical requirements, support user acceptance testing and go-live activities. The Solutions Engineer III will collaborate with the Health Plan implementation leadership on input into project timelines to ensure on-time implementation based on defined scope. This position works directly with clients and leadership at various roles within and outside of this organization. Additionally, the Solutions Engineer will participate in the sales discovery process. This role will be required to lead with an understanding of our product standards and value and configuration options. This role will be highly engaged with Product Management for custom requests, identifying opportunities to optimizing implementations through configuration and planning for the implementation of future functionality and features.

- Have a strong understanding of X12, APIs and EDI methodologies and implementation practices. Healthcare Authorizations experience required.
- Can get to client root cause behind the request to consult on recommendations within Availity's standards.
- You have a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiency within implementations.

What will set you apart:
- You have a minimum of 5 years related experience of client facing implementation / solutions engineering, consulting, or product management experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred. Combination of education and work experience considered.
- You have strong understanding of healthcare transactions; particularly EDI, X12 and APIs.
- You have experience in solutions delivery of enterprise SaaS solutions.
- You have experience with JIRA and/or Salesforce or equivalence.
What you will be doing:
Collaboration
- Work as part of a team to Implement functionality for both new and existing health plan clients by utilizing a standard for business and technical requirements and implementation documentation and establishing measurable success metrics.
- Collaborate with the Implementation team including leadership during the implementation lifecycle.
- Coordinate and lead meetings for implementations (both internal and external).
- Collaborate with Implementation team and Leadership to determine scope and timelines.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Program Managers and Product Leaders throughout the entire implementation life cycle.
- Work with Program/Project Manager and Implementation leadership to proactively address escalations, identify solutions and help define and manage risk mitigation. Participate in continuous improvement processes by providing client feedback, ideas for optimizing implementation tools, and process improvements to Product and Implementation leadership.
- Work with Sales for sales support and implementation discovery.
- Maintain communications and alignment with Project or Program Manager for delivery.
- Engage Product Management through the appropriate processes in the implementation when needed.
- Lead with a consultative approach and product expertise for specific products with the ability to demonstrate the product including value to drive a best-in-class solution
- Develop an understanding of additional products and interdependencies.
Execute
- Execute health plan implementations by documenting business and technical requirements drawing on standard practices and configuration options.
- Deliver assigned products according to project timelines to drive speed to market with cross-functional teams.
- Triage client requests and questions based on defined standards to identify the next best action such as input into the Change Request process, new enhancement, or defect resolution.
- Handoff requirements to the Implementation Analyst to configure the solution.
- Work with the Implementation Analyst and client to support user acceptance testing and go-live activity (includes participating in releases).
- Utilize reports and analysis to identify root cause and drive towards a data driven solution.
- Support multiple, concurrent projects across multiple clients.
