Solutions Architect - Role Profile:
The Solutions Architect defines, designs, and communicates the overarching solution by ensuring that all elements (application software, operating platform, and third-party components, etc.) combine to form a best-in-class turnkey information management solution for all sizes of municipal and state public sector organizations. This role also provides guidance and direction for all upgrades, additions and for legacy products and current deployments. This role works with sales teams to capture customer technical requirements from sales activities -- predominantly through a competitive bid or RFP process; understanding and defining the technologies and approaches to addressing these requirements; and document the vision of how the unique requirements of each client and the stakeholders can best be satisfied using available CentralSquare products and services complemented by the partner and third-party products and services.
This role provides industry and technical consultation to sales within the company as well as with existing and prospective clients on hardware, system software, local area networks, wireless infrastructures, interfaces, cloud services, and other systems integration elements necessary to support CentralSquare's suite of software solutions.

What You'll Do:
- Work collaboratively with Regional Account Executives, Regional Account Managers, Sales Directors, Contract Capture Managers, Client Success Managers, Product Specialists, Proposal Managers, Pricing Managers and various product management groups within the company to define the technical/architectural aspects of each CentralSquare Solutions to ensure quality and accuracy and to document those Solutions in proposals to clients and prospective clients.
- Provide technical presentations and act as a consultant defining the infrastructure required to support CentralSquare applications
- Ability to simply convey the vision for methods to integrate with other third-party technologies and/or interfaces presented via proposal
- Supports the time sensitive Contract Capture process by working with the prospective client to solidify interfaces, solidify third parties, solidify hardware and network to support the systems and be a resource to the Contract Capture manager to provide written and verbal responses to technical questions.
- Supports the sales team by providing technical presentations and/or conference calls to consult on requirements for new interfaces or integration requirements, discuss infrastructure changes to accommodate new hardware and consult on ways to integrate new technology with the client's existing systems
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office to include Visio, RFPIO (RFP authoring program) and various collaboration platforms such as Yammer, Teams, and others
- Develop presentations for demonstrations
- Participate in remote or on-site presentations
- Participate in Contract Capture process
- Participate in Client and internal strategy calls.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- Previous experience with pre-sales engineering with Public Sector or Public Safety is required.
- Good communication; both verbally and written
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business
- Must be able to provide presentations in front of a large group of attendees
- Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements
- Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and public
- Technical capabilities to include networking and server platforms, virtualization and storage environments
- Ability to maintain a home office including internet (sufficient for IP telephone communications)
- 25% or less travel is required
- As part of the requirements of this position, it is necessary that you have access to a major credit card that will support the required travel. It will be your responsibility or use your own credit card. If at any time during your employment your credit card will not allow you to meet the required travel obligations, it may be grounds for dismissal.
