Ardent is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our team. Â As a Solutions Architect working for Ardent, your primary role is to design and develop comprehensive technical solutions that meet the specific needs of our government clients. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation by leveraging your expertise in architecture, systems integration, and government compliance.
This is a Remote position.
Position Description:
Ardent is seeking a Solutions Architect specializing in DevSecOps, Cloud Computing, and Software Development, you will be responsible for leading the technical design and implementation of complex systems and applications for federal government projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that meet the highest security standards while maximizing efficiency and scalability.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Solution Design: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define technical requirements and create innovative, secure, and cost-effective solutions that align with federal government needs.
DevSecOps Integration: Lead the integration of DevSecOps principles into the software development lifecycle, ensuring security is built into every stage of the process.
Cloud Computing: Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalability, resilience, and security, while maximizing cost-efficiency.
Software Development: Provide technical leadership in software development best practices, including code reviews, architectural guidance, and troubleshooting complex issues.
Federal Government Proposal Writing: Develop and review technical proposals for federal government contracts, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements, exceptional technical clarity, and volume development and ownership.
Security and Compliance: Ensure that solutions meet federal government security and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP), and provide expertise in security architecture and risk management.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and standard operating procedures.
Client Collaboration: Foster strong client relationships by acting as a technical advisor and consultant, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in DevSecOps, Cloud Computing, and Software Development, and recommend their integration where relevant.
Requirements:Â
- Proven experience (minimum of 7 years with a BS or higher degree, or 8+ years of experience without degree) as a Solutions Architect with a focus on DevSecOps, Cloud Computing, and Software Development.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
- In-depth knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, automation, containerization, security scanning).
- Extensive experience with federal government proposal writing, including a successful track record of winning government contracts.
- Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Bash).
- Excellent understanding of federal government security standards (NIST, FedRAMP) and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of working in cross-functional teams.
Preferred / Highly Desired
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP)Â
