Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and developing complex custom and beta solutions for our customers and prospects. The Solutions Architect will work with customers to understand their business needs and then design solutions that meet those needs. The Solutions Architect will work cross functionally with internal teams including but not limited to, Product and Solutions Product Management, Expert Services, Sales, and Customer Solutions, to ensure that the solutions are feasible and can be implemented within the customer’s budget and timeline.

• Work with customers to understand their complex business needs and then design and develop technical solutions that meet those needs
• Apply strong communication skills to explain complex technical requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Build lasting, mutually beneficial relationships across customers and partners.
• Develop a strategy and multi-year vision for account penetration.
• Complete technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
• Provide guidance on technical aspects of Yext solutions as part of the sales process.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal Yext teams
• Help shape the evolution of our solutions by partnering with Customer Success, Product Management, Product Marketing, and Engineering.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest industry technologies and trends

• Minimum 3 years of business experience preferably in a sales or pre-sales SaaS business environment.
• All candidates, who may not have the above-listed years’ experience, but can demonstrate the vital skills, may apply and will be considered.
• Experience selling to and working with C-Level and top line management to understand business strategy and objectives.
• Ability to develop business cases that communicate complex technical requirements and solutions strategy to enterprise level prospects and customers.
• Experience working with and selling to IT teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must work well in a team selling environment.
• Experience with HTML, JS, CSS, and other Javascript languages such as React
• BA/BS Degree Required or similar college level education, preferably in Computer Science or a related field
• Travel needs vary by territory

The base salary at the time of hire for this position is expected to be between $101,000-$169,000. Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits, and successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
