A “prop-tech scaleup” by definition, we are a service platform that enables investors to access single-family rental (SFR) homes by connecting an ecosystem of boots-on-the-ground, local partners to institutional financing. We find and purchase properties and coordinate the efforts of our partners through a proprietary technology stack. This system takes in huge amounts of data at national and local levels, which combined with information about each individual property, gives us and our partners a competitive advantage in pricing, speed, and scale. Salary Range 

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $155,000 - $205,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Location

• Option to work remotely full-time or to work as a hybrid in-office/remote employee
• Can be based anywhere in the U.S., with the expectation that candidate will primarily work ET hours
• Occasional trips to New York headquarters or other locations for company events or meetings

Job Description

As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will partner with analysts, product managers, stakeholders, SaaS providers, DevOps, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to design and implement agile, robust, rapid, and resilient solutions for the platform upon which the business depends. You’ll be working with an event-driven, largely serverless architecture to implement the events, payloads, state transition logic, solution adapters, integrations with RPA, Kissflow, Netsuite, and other systems that will allow the business and technology to evolve, quickly onboard new partners, govern and coordinate the activities of a network of service providers, and achieve unprecedented scale. You will be rolling up your sleeves as you dive in, building accurate and robust integrations, managing change, ensuring the preservation of architectural integrity, enabling proper monitoring of exceptions, and dealing with a constantly evolving set of integration endpoints.

• Architecting and delivering solutions and integrations that are stable, agile, high-quality, impactful, and quickly deployed.
• Documenting and defining implementation, and execution of the processes for the definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the enterprise architecture.
• Providing guidance as well as hands on support to business initiatives from ideation through development 
• Working as a collaborative member of a team that includes internal and external resources.
• Enforcing the consistency of the implementation of services and alignment with the overall architectural vision. 
• Working collaboratively to evolve the architectural vision, consistent with business needs.
• Monitor the quality and efficiency of the code and solutions delivered by outside parties.
• Adopt promising new solutions and components, being mindful of cost and control.
• Extreme ownership mentality and execution.
• Performing code reviews. 
• Coaching junior team members.

Experience / Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience holding responsibilities focused on software development and cloud architecture 
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or a similar role, with a strong background in software development and system integration.
• Deep understanding of enterprise software architectures, cloud technologies (AWS), and modern application development frameworks.
• Familiarity with microservice  and event streaming architectures
• Familiarity with API management and tools/frameworks such as AWS API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, Kafka, Kinesis or similar technologies 
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and product management 
• Previous experience working with offshore development teams 
• A self-driven and enthusiastic professional with a consistent record for delivering results.
• Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, diagnostic, and analytical skills in a dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ultimate comfort with transparent accountability and frank communication
• A mindset of automating everything, with experience demonstrating this
• Previous experience defining solution architecture for financial services and real estate domain use cases: procure to pay, invoice processing, bank transfers, and general ledgers.
