JOB DESCRIPTION
Ā
Precise actively seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to become a vital part of our team. In this role, the architect will assume a pivotal position in delivering technical leadership within one of our customer programs, focused on modernizing their data center technologies and orchestrating the migration of infrastructure and applications to the cloud. The responsibilities of this architect encompass conducting extensive market research, formulating comprehensive solution architectures, executing proofs-of-concept involving cutting-edge cloud infrastructure technologies, and devising engineering solutions aimed at enhancing our customer's data center capabilities and operational efficiency. Additionally, the architect will play a crucial role in facilitating our customer's migration efforts, guiding them in transitioning their infrastructure and systems to Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
Candidates must be able to pass a Public Trust Clearance which requires U.S. residency 3 years out of the last 5 years.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of comprehensive system solution architectures, encompassing multiple disciplines, to fulfill both business and technical requirements. Establish technical standards, guidelines, and reference implementations for the program.

- Take a hands-on approach and lead the implementation of Proof-Of-Concept (POC) projects on Cloud platforms, as well as software and infrastructure, leveraging key technologies.
Ā
- Design, create, and enhance highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed components utilizing emerging and Cloud technologies, aligned with the Federal Agency Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC).

- Generate system design documentation and the necessary technical materials in accordance with the customer's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.

- Act as a representative of Precise, delivering presentations on solution architecture and technical implementation to a broader audience within the customer's business and IT community.
Ā
- Collaborate closely with the Precise Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and other members of the technical leadership team to drive innovation and develop new technical capabilities for Precise.

- Conduct thorough market research and evaluations of the latest infrastructure technologies, which may encompass server, storage, network, virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), Cloud (IaaS, PaaS), containerization, disaster recovery, and more.

- Develop and implement comprehensive system architectures, System Security Plans, and technical implementation plans.

- Technically lead, design and implementation for Cloud Migration including application assessments, migration strategies, and modernization efforts.

- Evaluate offerings from various cloud vendors, implement cloud pilots, and participate in the design and planning of cloud implementation and migration initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in Application Architecture or Hands-On Solution Architecture.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and providing technical leadership for enterprise-class applications. This experience should encompass both Linux and Windows platforms, whether on-premises or in the cloud.
- 5+ years of strong experience in Application Architecture, utilizing technologies such as JEE, Python, Databases (RDBMS, NoSQL) and/or Low Code Platforms like Appian, Salesforce.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in solution and application architecture within a Cloud Platform environment. You should possess a solid understanding and practical experience with cloud technologies offered by one or more leading cloud vendors (AWS, GCP or Azure).
- 3+ Years of Emerging Technologies and Frameworks including Cloud, AI/ML, Data Driven Architectures, Zero Trust, Microservices, SOA, Hyper Automation Enabled Architecture
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Able to produce results within a collaborative environment. Highly organized and deadline-driven; able to multitask.
- Deep understanding and working experience in Agile software development lifecycle and services delivery.
- Possession of a current and active AWS Certified Solution Architect certification or an equivalent certification.
EDUCATION
Bachelorās degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10+ years of professional experience; or 8+ years of professional experience with a related Masterās degree.
