Summary:
In this role, you will lead multiple software product teams to ensure consistent application of standard design and development practices. You will provide technical leadership for our architecture initiatives and drive architecture and technology convergence to ensure the right technologies and platforms are deployed to achieve the strategic business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the development of solution architecture at the program level and facilitate coordinated changes.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create proof of concepts (POCs) for testing and implementing new technologies.
- Ensure adherence to industry, regulatory, and security standards and practices
- Provide guidance to business stakeholders on software design, translating requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
- Design comprehensive solution architectures encompassing applications, data, security, infrastructure, and business continuity.
- Work collaboratively with peers and the engineering team to achieve architectural goals and maintain consistency across the enterprise.
- Identify and assess new frameworks, tools, and libraries that can enhance the productivity of engineering teams.
- Advocate for the adoption of architectural best practices within the engineering teams
- Provide mentorship and support to engineering teams in implementing new practices or solutions.
- Publish and communicate architectural standards and best practices.
- Maintain a repository of reference architectures that engineering teams can utilize for their projects.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of tables, views, and other reporting sources.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 7 or more years of relevant experience in related field required.
- Experience in enterprise-wide technology and system integration, with excellent technological vision required.
- Ability to read and write current programming languages; with extensive knowledge of current development and production cycles/processes required.
- Extensive experience creating schema and semantic layer objects.
- Experience leading technology projects; demonstrated ability to collaborate, direct, mentor, and train others to optimal outcomes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex issues using simple concepts adjusted to an audience and their skills.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual design skills; strong problem-solving skills; excellent creative thinking and developing skills.
- Experience in fine tuning and optimizing the existing reports and ETL scripts in order to implement performance improvement techniques.
- Experience with ETL development and automation for loading data into data warehouse databases using ETL tools like SSIS.
- Development experience with relational database technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc.
- Experience with the following platforms preferred, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau.
- Certified MicroStrategy Architect preferred.
- 340B data knowledge preferred.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $223,200.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
