Ardent is seeking a Solutions Architect (Application) to join our team.  

This is a Remote position, located in the Washington, D.C. Metro area. Candidate may be required to travel on-site as required by the customer. 

Position Description: 

Ardent is seeking a Solutions Architect (Application). The scope of this project is to provide a variety of current and future IT operational support and application development services for a law enforcement agency within the Department of Homeland Security. In addition to the specific support areas identified below, the optimal candidate will support any future technologies that are adopted by the government to improve enterprise-wide business and mission applications. 

Responsibilities: 

• Designs back-end and application solutions, develops new features and enhancements, debugs defects and issues, and implements software.
• Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. 
• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. 
• Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. 
• Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. 
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. 
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
• Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. 
• Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of others on the development team. 
• Participates in the development of software user manuals and technical reports. 
• Acts as team leader on projects. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields  
• Microsoft C# & ASP.NET (CORE 3.1, Framework 4.0) 
• Strong expertise using GIT or TFS 
• Microsoft Azure DevOps or Microsoft Team Foundation Server experience
• Proven solutions architecture experience 
• RESTful web services 
• Proven experience using C#/.NET to implement MVC based Responsive Web based applications for desktop, tablet or phone platforms using Microsoft .NET CORE 3.1 or greater 
• Excellent skills in leadership and prior IT systems and systems implementation projects.
• Experience in sustaining and maintaining mobile applications which depend on web service integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).  

Preferred: 

• • Previous experience supporting DHS and existing DHS EOD a ++
