Salary Range
$99,700 - $196,100
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like
This position will be a key resource to the entire leadership team in Enterprise Information Management, leading a variety of IT architecture, integration, and technology roadmapping roles as well as supporting scaled agile process deployment and portfolio rationalization for the group.
The selected candidate will have to solve new and complex problems involving the selection and integration of a wide variety of on-prem and cloud-based technologies in support of business and IT drivers with little oversight and strong self-direction and leadership.

Security Clearance

The selected candidate will have to solve new and complex problems involving the selection and integration of a wide variety of on-prem and cloud-based technologies in support of business and IT drivers with little oversight and strong self-direction and leadership.
On any given day, you may be called upon to:
- Lead and communicate decision support and logic to senior staff and leadership around integration decisions, product/vendor/application technology selection, and other IT systems engineering needs
- Maintain technical stack and architecture cohesion among a large portfolio of applications and tools by teaming with IT project managers and solutions architects within information engineering
- Immediately engage on new group or center initiatives to understand impacts and implications to the existing EIM portfolio and envision solutions for piloting or future implementation of those initiatives
- Support functional customers and corresponding IT teams in understanding scope or challenges that could occur outside of the specific functional implementation
- Engage in agile process activities including structuring cohesive value streams, guiding release train structures and corresponding team and business structures, and serving in agile roles that may include those of a release train engineer, system architect, or product manager.
Qualifications We Require
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management/Business Information Systems, or equivalent field, plus ten (10) years' experience; or a Master's degree in a related field plus six (6) years' experience
- Experience with complete lifecycle of development and deployment of complex software systems
- Experience with data architecture and data governance for operational systems
- Experience with agile development practices, including Scrum and SAFe
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Qualifications We Desire
- High level knowledge and expertise in:
- Sandia's data governance, security models, and workflows
- Data architecture, data ingest, and delivery
- Modern database technologies (on-prem and cloud)
- Structured and unstructured data
- Data governance
- Operations and maintenance, or deployment of Enterprise level production IT solutions
- Leading software or COTS implementation projects
- Architecting IT solutions to address customer requests and meeting requirements for complexity, scalability, and availability of solutions
- Maintaining and development of site security plans, data protection, and the types of controls associated with them. Including knowledge of FedRAMP moderate and HIPAA
- SNL infrastructure and integrations with technologies such as Enterprise Person and other HR applications, including SaaS
- Working knowledge of Sandia's Solutions Delivery Lifecycle (SDL)
- Experience with project planning, cost estimation, and managing scope, risk, and schedule
- Understanding of Systems Engineering disciplines particularly Requirements Management and Configuration Management
- Familiarity with the Sandia IT enterprise and architectures
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL, Control-M scheduling, enterprise reporting, data virtualization and replication
- Experience with a computer programming language such as SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, SQL PowerShell, Shell scripting technologies
