The Solutions Architect is responsible for agile development of growth opportunities within the High Velocity and Small and Medium business segments. In this role you will collaborate and coordinate technical efforts with a high velocity sales rep on the qualification, enablement and preparation of opportunities. These efforts will be mirrored in Post Sales with a Customer Success Manager where you will ensure proper ramp up and assist with the discovery of further growth opportunities. You will have the opportunity to work with many customers with varying use cases, verticals and solutions.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Breaking down technical barriers for high velocity opportunities
- Ensure full and timely ramp up of expected spend
- Actively seek out, identify and nurture growth opportunities within the SMB segment
- Act as a subject matter expert on Aiven's service offerings
Consulting Skills:
- Understand customers' technical requirements on an architectural level and propose solutions to address them using Aiven's services
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an approachable and correct technical level for the audience
- Ability to understand customers' solutions holistically and sell the value of further Aiven services, expansion or support
Technical Skills:
- Fluency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go or Ruby
- Comfortability with Linux and experience working at the command line
- Real world experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch or Cassandra
- Demonstrable use of a relational database, preferably PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
- Ability to implement software solutions as needed in a post-sales capacity to interface with Aiven services in order to address business requirements
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar discipline) or, an equivalent amount of professional experience in software engineering
The following are nice to have:
- Writing technical blogs and conducting webinars
- Experience working in technology/software sales, post-sales or consulting
- Giving talks at conferences and meetups
