About this opportunity

Location - Plano, TX

We are the Products and Services Readiness team within Market Unit North America. We lead testing and introduction of new Radio technology, such as IoT and 5G, Cloud RAN for North American telecom operators.

We are currently looking for a Solution Architect with validated technical competence to be able to explain functionality to the customer and address technical questions both externally & internally; to identify & address gaps in existing solutions and/or design new solutions which meet customer requirements.

As part of your work, you will be interacting with various Ericsson organizations such as development unit, customer units, but also directly with the customers.

• Feature/Solution Customer Review
• Feature Deep Dive/Technical Review
• Test Object List Review
• Test Team Support
• Network Design Preparation & Documentation
• Lead technical discussions within multiple domains supporting pre-sales and customer engagements
• Identify any critical technical implications or limitations
• Seen as a technology authority by both customers and internal interfaces
• Participate and drive knowledge sharing activities
• Assist in the development of a service proposal
• Identify add-on sales opportunities
• You will develop and cultivate collaborative relationships with product, business development, Customer Units, and engineering teams to effectively serve our customer needs. Influence senior leadership teams on the value propositions and generate new services solution ideas.
• Perform/Lead sophisticated network performance investigations, identifying performance improvement opportunities and developing actions to implement solutions
• Analyze customer improvement areas and challenges related to introduction of new technology and processes
• Supervise high-level service deliveries, and advise on difficult problems
• Understand business context to decisions made within and across the organization
• Mentor and guide junior members in the team

You will bring

Technical knowledge:

• 15+ years of engineering/technical experience with at least 8 in a customer facing position in Solution Architect or similar roles
• Dynamic track record showing evolvement from junior to senior roles
• Strong Cloud competence on CNIS
• Excellent RAN background; Ability to understand sophisticated Radio features
• Background in communications theory and digital signal processing
• Data analysis knowledge
• Linux knowledge
• Strong experience with Tier1 operators on network planning, design, and optimization of RAN features through statistical analysis and inference
• 5G technical Knowledge as well as market familiarity and a related curiosity that drives/evidence of professional development in areas of data science, analytics, AI/ML

Academic background:

• Bachelor or Master's Degree, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
