Solutions Development Team Manager
Job Description
Within this fast-paced and high-growth environment you will motivate the team to hit targets and develop the team's skills. You will collaborate with the sales and sales operations teams, as well as senior leadership, to drive new business growth to achieve Enterprise Sales targets.
Supports the sale, pricing, and Enterprise Solution design/development of large integrated laboratory service and maintenance programs to external customers; often involving multi-function and multi-vendor efforts.
Manages a small team or direct reports responsible for working with Enterprise Sales Organization to determine requirements, solutions modeling, pricing, and proposals. A key member of deal team to support and drive Enterprise Solutions New Business in the Americas and drive business to meet Sales Order Targets with acceptable levels of profitability.
Qualifications
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Successful management of all new pre-sales Enterprise Solutions modeling and pricing in the Americas.
- Works with sales team in pre-sales activities, negotiation, and contracting process.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the business and hit account acquisition targets
- Leads customer needs analysis activities as required.
- Responsible for CrossLab Enterprise solution design, laboratory instrument service and maintenance.
- Owns CrossLab service and maintenance program modeling and pricing
- Development of Customer and partner Scope of Works that meet Customer and Agilent business objectives
- Assist enterprise sales team with Customer Proposal writing
- Engage local delivery with solution design and delivery.
- Provide Cross-functional team leadership that is in line with Agilent policies and procedures.
- Direct Report Management
- Establish effective teamwork within and across functions
Fundamental CrossLab Services Competencies Required:
- 3+years of laboratory instrument service and maintenance experience (Prefer pharmaceutical Instrumentation experience)
- Basic GMP and GLP experience preferred
- Quality process improvement experience
- Minimum 4 year Educational scientific degree or equivalent experience
- Formal Project Management training or equivalent experience
- Ability to manage and understand laboratory instrument service and maintenance business (process & financial). Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience highly preferred.
- Experience collaborating with sales on large scale customer lab operation solutions.
- Strong business acumen skills
- Team building/development and leadership skills
- External Customer oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English

The US pay range for this full-time position is $137,850.00 - $241,238.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
