Job Description
NCQA is seeking a technical Solutions Engineer to provide technical and solution knowledge related to interoperability, digital quality, and NCQA digital products to support sales. The person in this role needs to have strong technical knowledge and a solution-oriented, customer-friendly demeanor. They will work to understand customer business needs related to digital quality, quality reporting, quality improvement, interoperability and data validity, translating those needs into solutions and clearly demonstrate how NCQA products and services can help support meeting those needs.
This role supports product demonstrations and answers customer's technical questions about NCQA's solutions, including technology, features, benefits, installation and implementation. The individual in this role must have knowledge of clinical data and health care quality. Knowledge of CQL and FHIR® required.
This is a full-time remote position with occasional travel.
Responsibilities:
- Understand customer needs and effectively communicate how NCQA's solutions can solve customer problems.
- Be a subject matter expert on NCQA's digital products.
- Uncover and understand customer technology needs as it relates to NCQA, and be able to convey needs to NCQA staff and leadership.
- Participate in sales calls and lead product demos.
- Collaborate with sales team and account executives to help navigate client needs and develop effective messaging and engagement strategies.
- Act as technical subject matter expert on sales calls.
- Work with the sales, marketing, product and training functions to build customer materials and internal and external trainings to support product sales and product adoption.
- Identify customer critical success factors and work with Sales and Marketing to help shape the sales and communication process.
- Communicate regularly with sales teams about sales activities and customer support effort.
- Regularly connect with product and operations teams to share market intelligence that can help shape the product roadmap.
Technical Experience:
- Strong understanding of cloud strategy and operations and containerized software deployment. Architect certification or equivalent experience in AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Experience with health data formats FHIR R4, claims, HL7 and CDA. Broad healthcare data (claims, clinical /EMR, administrative) and informatics experience preferred.
- SQL experience. CQL experience preferred.
- General software architecture and programming experience in any language. C#/.NET preferred, but not required
- The ability to guide customers through the use of APIs within a product
- Experience working with multiple healthcare technology platforms.
General Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience (technical and/or customer-facing role).
- Experience supporting sales role for software, data and/or SaaS products preferred.
- Knowledge of health care quality, including HEDIS®.
- Ability to travel on occasion (1-2 times a quarter)
