Solutions Engineer

NCQA is hiring a Solutions Engineer to:

• Provide Solutions and Application Engineering leadership for Digital Solutions offerings (technology-based or technology enabled external customer offerings).
• Bridge the gap between internal and external customer needs and solution architecture, design, and delivery to meet those needs.
• Design and implement solutions, from early development prototypes to customer-driven deliverables.
• Comprehend business strategies and requirements and develop necessary designs and plans to ensure projects and solutions satisfy those needs.
• Act as a contributing member of the project team from project inception to completion.
• Actively listen to user (internal and external) problems and needs to implement that information when creating solution plans.
• Provide advice and make decisions about which technologies and components are suitable for various purposes.
• Manage the application engineering scope of time and resources and collaborate with team and other staff members to develop budgets and timelines for solutions and assess and manage risk as required.
• Keep skills updated and remain proactively aware of happenings and current events in the industry and competitive landscape. Mentor, educate, and train colleagues as requested.
• Drive Digital Solutions product requirements, design, definition, architecture, engineering and development within agile product development teams.

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years of customer facing Solutions Engineering or Application Development, preferably within healthcare.
• Experience soliciting user and industry input and feedback: interviewing customers and non-customers, leading focus groups and co-development efforts for solution design/development.
• Experience with assessing and choosing technologies for internal and external needs, e.g., build vs. buy vs. partner/ OEM strategies for technology.
• Experience with collaborative stakeholder/customer/client management and managing tension between stakeholders' wants and needs.
• Creative thinking to drive early design and concept development to help customers and team learn and provide feedback.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Superior problem-solving ability, preferably within a customer environment.
• Superior project management, time management and organizational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
