Solutions Engineer
Job Description
Fox Robotics Solutions Engineer is an exciting and dynamic role in our fast-growing world of robotics and warehouse automation. Solutions Engineers will be dispatched to customer sites that have any opportunities in regards to performance, workflow and communication improvements. Solutions Engineers are proficient team members capable of leading improvement initiatives at all customer sites. They require minimal direction, including no on-site supervision. Solutions Engineers review support data, site specific robot performance, troubleshoot issues and provide real time data to improve robot performance at customer sites.Â
Solutions Engineers fill the role of communicating customer needs to Engineering and Field Service teams through on site customer feedback. Using the data collected from support, repair and deployments to provide solutions to issues at current and future customer sites. Solution Engineers are the “experts” in everything related to the robotic forklift and will provide boots on the ground support at all current and future customer sites.Â
Excellent written/face to face communication with current and future customers will be required. Most high level communication and coordination with the customer may be handled by an off-site Manager or Lead. A high level of travel will be required for all Solutions Engineers (minimum of 80 percent travel is required).
Job Qualifications:- 4 year degree or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Detail oriented and observant
- Responsible and reliable
- Ability to work independently with good judgment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, if necessary
- Frequent standing or walking for long periods of time
- Willingness to travel (minimum 80 percent of the time)
- A willingness to take personal responsibility for problem solving
- Professionalism and integrity to communicate and work with employees at all levels of the organization
- High degree of personal integrity and a willingness to accept accountability
- Willingness to work in warehouse environments (Ex. Refrigeration, ambient and outside temperatures)
- Experience with a CRM
- Warehouse and/or robotic experience
- Travels to customer sites a minimum of 80% of the time
- Document visit data in CRM
- Conduct customer site visits post-installationÂ
- Maintain and archive customer site data in multiple systems
- Document unique work environments when applicableÂ
- Reporting site information to Operations Manager/Customer Success.
- Make recommendations based off of site visits for future deployments or customer training
- Notate and record failures of current processes post install
- Ability to represent the company in a professional way at our current and future customer sites
- Excellent face to face communication skills
- Proficient understanding of forklift’s capabilities and limitations
- Operating robotic forklifts in any configured environment
- Familiar with common warehouse workflows, metrics and requirements
- Troubleshooting common software and hardware issues
- Training customers on how to configure and operate forklifts
- Perform unscheduled repairs on automated forklifts at the Fox warehouse and at Customer locations
- Work with robots every day
