Job Description
Cloudsmith is looking for a Solutions Engineer to provide pre- and post-sales technical support to our rapidly-growing customer base. Reporting to the VP of Product and working closely with the sales team, you'll help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners. You will provide technical expertise and support and act as an ambassador for Cloudsmith in the community. You'll have a voice with the product team to help influence the roadmap and positioning based on input from customers, competitors, and partners.
Responsibilities
- Be an expert on the Cloudsmith product, integrations, and standard workflows, and be able to speak to and demonstrate Cloudsmith capabilities
- Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of the Cloudsmith platform throughout the sales cycle, from inbound inquiries to demos to proof-of-values and implementation
- Own the technical relationship during Proof-of-Value engagements, removing technical objections and helping close opportunities by aligning our product value to customer needs
- Build joint customer strategies with sales and support to encourage product adoption
- Train and educate our community and customers about DevOps, Cloudsmith, and best practices for a secure software supply chain
- Act as an intermediary between sales and other technical teams post-sales to ensure we best meet customer needs
- Attend events as a Cloudsmith product advocate and expert
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to continuously improve Cloudsmith's product and positioning
- Up to 20% travel may be required
Requirements
Preferred qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in sales/solutions engineering, technical consulting, or DevOps operational roles
- Customer-facing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong public speaking ability
- Ability to connect a customer's specific business problems with Cloudsmith value drivers
- University degree in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with DevOps culture and Agile software development

About The Location
We're headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but like the entire team right now, you'll be fully remote, with 24/7 access to a BT1 office space. We serve customers in the US and EMEA regions.
