Solutions Engineer - Channel (West)

Evolv is looking for a motivated Solutions Engineer for our Channel organization to engage with our partners to enhance their level of Express product knowledge, including our value proposition and return on investment (ROI). You will work closely with the Channel team to understand the partners we have within the West Region and what their needs are.
Success in the Role: What are performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?In the first 30 days, you will:
- Develop a strong understanding of Evolv and our vertical markets
- Understand our products (value proposition, ROI, operations, etc.)
- Attend training sessions, review videos, and gain other Evolv product exposure
- Complete greater than 75% of required LMS (Learning Management System) onboarding trainings
- Support at least one (1) Evolv product-based activity (demo, pilot, deployment, etc.) at a customer or channel partner site
- Meet with Vice President of North American Sales and Regional Sales Director for your region
Within 3 months, you will:
- Reinforce understanding of the above through direct field experience
- Be able to set up and demonstrate the system in a controlled setting and handle routine questions
- Successfully be able to independently demonstrate and pilot the system in at least one of our vertical settings (schools, sports, hospitals) and handle more challenging questions
- Ask questions and gain assistance about the most challenging detection related topics
- Complete 100% of required LMS onboarding trainings
- Complete Level 2 Certification training on Evolv Express
- Support at least 3 Evolv product-based activities (demo, pilot, deployment, etc.) at customers or channel partner sites
- Meet with all relevant members of PODs within the region
- Lead at least one (1) Evolv product-based activity (demo, pilot, deployment, etc.) at a customer or channel partner site
By the end of the first year, you will:
- Be fully independent, handling all activities presented to you, partnering with the Account Executives and channel partners in their territory
- Be contributing to Evolv's top line in a meaningful way, helping the Account Executives and channel partners to convert prospects to customers
- Be a key part of at least three accounts that have converted from prospect to customer
- Lead at least three and participate in at least five additional Evolv product-based activities at customer or channel partner sites, including necessary reports
- Be able to train channel partner representatives on Evolv Express, including value proposition, setup, operations, performance, and all other relevant topics
- Engage with our channel partners and their potential customers at all different levels, such as C-suite executives, security personnel, facilities directors, and more.
- Gain the ability to assess how we win at a given site, including who is the decision maker and key influencers
- Demonstrate leadership cross-functionally during various projects, whether in a group or serving as a single representative of Evolv at a customer site
- Team up with your region, POD, or the Technical Sales and Solutions team
- Work directly and independently with our customers, which requires confidence and decision-making skills
- Manage and navigate channel partners and their customers, continuously gaining their trust and respect
- Develop solutions for deploying our technology into customer sites, which sometimes requires a bit of vision and creativity
- Perform site surveys, lead large/complex installations, as well as key pilots
- Generate professional, complete, and concise reports
- Gather market research to understand the competition and be able to articulate the value of the Express to the channel partners so they can in return convey our strengths to win deals.
- You will be joining Evolv’s Revenue Organization as part of the Technical Sales and Solutions team with a focus on the West region. This role reports to the VP of Technical Sales and Solutions!

Where is the role located?
- The location of this role is flexible within the West region of the United States. This role does require travel (approximately 75%).
