Solutions Engineer I - Partner Solutions Engineering

The Team

Partner Solutions Engineers (PSE) at TripleLift are entrepreneurially minded engineers who leverage their strong technical experience along with business acumen and communication skills to help internal and external stakeholders achieve their goals. The team works regularly with other internal and external facing teams on varying problems and challenges. 

The Role

As a Partner Solutions Engineer, you are someone who is obsessed with understanding a partner’s business and devising the optimal way of extending our platform to help them meet their needs. You imbibe, tinker, build and deploy. You thrive in meetings (whether a technical sync or commercial pitch) by understanding your audience and modulating your delivery appropriately.

Reporting into the Manager, Partner Solutions Engineering, you contribute to the environment needed to make our partners and and our people as successful as possible.

The role is multifaceted, demanding that the engineer switch contexts regularly, often within the same day. At any point a Solutions Engineer can be 

• onboarding new partners to our platform, 
• troubleshooting/enhancing existing integrations for greater liquidity, 
• working with TL data to identify liquidity enhancement opportunities across the board, 
• meeting/advising partners to improve their integrations with us, 
• making pull requests to improve our core platform and 
• gathering feedback to help our internal product and engineering teams. 

Essentially, the Partner Solutions Engineer is a Renaissance person that owns and executes on the most important initiatives at TripleLift.

Responsibilities 

• Working directly with advertiser or publisher partners to deploy commercial and technical solutions that enables them to achieve their goals
• Generating technical mapping with our partners, understanding their technical stack, creating the roadmap, and establishing a cadence of communication
• Utilizing dashboarding and data to understand the liquidity flow of TL and partner success
• Designing bespoke solutions for partners, including design, implementation, and deployment
• Pairing with product & core engineering teams to ensure partner initiatives are executed

Qualifications 

• Technical
  • Web foundations (HTML, CSS, Javascript), APIs and request/response frameworks and tools (Postman, Chrome developer console, etc)
  • Datastores & querying frameworks (MySQL, MongoDB, etc)
  • Looking at and making updates to code
  • Bonus - Excellent quantitative skills and comfort with data exploration tools (Looker, Pivot, Databricks, etc)

  • Demonstrated experience in owning projects end-to-end that involves coordinating many resources and teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities with a tenacious commitment to finding the root cause of issues
  • Ability to work under intense pressure and multitask in a fast-paced start-up environment

• Communication

• • Outstanding communication skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts in a manner that is easy for clients and non-technical partners to understand
  • Fearless in asking questions when needed, both internally and externally
  • Assimilating external experience working with partners into concrete feedback for core engineering and product teams
  • Working in a team both contributing to and extracting from others to bring about the best possible outcome for all stakeholders

• • Demonstrated experience working with clients, understanding their businesses and crafting technical solutions using both off-the-shelf products as well as custom solutions.

• Bonus

• Knowledge of the ad tech space including the concepts, ecosystem and major players

Education Requirement

• A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics or technical field OR
• A degree in advertising, communications, marketing, or other discipline with demonstrated technical exposure 

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of work experience in customer support, technical solutions, engineering, technical partnerships
