Tenet3 is a growing systems assurance, cybersecurity, and data science firm in Dayton, OH. We provide solutions in cybersecurity systems modeling and analysis, software vulnerability assessments, microelectronics quantifiable assurance, and related cloud-scale machine learning and data processing challenges. These solutions are delivered through software and services to government and commercial customers requiring our highly technical skills and capabilities.
We are seeking a Solutions Lead. You will create strategies and assessments of digital engineering technologies, techniques, and trends. You will mentor Tenet3 team members to model, simulate, and assess weapons system digital representations from the component level up through system level to advance digital twin, digital thread, and related systems engineering methodologies.
Our Solutions Team is staffed by enthusiastic scientists, engineers, and analysts who define the state-of-the-art in quantitative cybersecurity methods and analytics. The team develops, experiments, and works to field cutting edge capability. Novel capability is hardened for long term applicability to the company while being honed for delivery to our government research agency use-cases. The capabilities we field emphasize model-based system engineering, machine learning applications, statistical and mathematical modeling, and software/hardware systems analysis and reversing.
Job Duties
- Serve as a Tenet3 expert on matters regarding modeling, simulation, and digital engineering
- Create strategies for developing Tenet3 technologies in support of DoD digital engineering efforts
- Identify the value propositions of Tenet3 technologies for digital engineering
- Mentor Tenet3 team members to mature capabilities and maximize workforce effectiveness
- Create unifying vision for applying Tenet3 digital thread and digital twin capabilities across DoD programs of record
Necessary Skills
- Communicate system engineering and security engineering assumptions, process requirements, and trade space analyses
- Critique system of systems vulnerability assessments and analyses
- Identify digital engineering requirements, collect, and curate system engineering, security, trustworthiness, and assurance information into knowledge base representations
- Connect multifaceted and disparate information concerning the design, build, operation, and maintenance of system software, firmware, hardware components, boards, line replaceable units, subsystems, and systems for systems and security engineering
- Critique threat analyses and risk-based assessments
- Analyze using tabular or graphical techniques including Tenet3's MeTRA® software
- Deliver summary results to various levels of an organization in formats which are easy to understand, showing conclusions and relationships
- Create cogent writing and presentations to effectively convey complex ideas
- Create quantitative metrics leveraging engineering tools to analyze complex trends
- Manipulate and communicate knowledge via data visualization tools
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience and subject matter expertise in:
- System modeling methods
- Digital engineering methods
- Model-based system engineering tools
- Computer-based mathematical representations of SW/HW architectures
- Weapon system and campaign/mission/sortie modeling and simulation
- System Security Engineering principles
- MATLAB/Simulink
- Semantic modeling and ontologies
- Property graph modeling
- SysML and/or AADL familiarity
- Requirements modeling and auto-code generation tools such as SCADE
- Software verification and validation techniques
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Knowledge of systems security engineering, DoD risk management framework, system security planning, anti-tamper technologies and supply chain illumination
- Ability to converse across a range of technical topics, including technologies, and DoD processes
- Ability to mentor and work as part of a team to produce deliverables with high-quality writing in a short time frame using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (familiarity with LaTeX and Markdown desired)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Eligibility for Department of Defense Top Secret Security Clearance
Education/Experience
- MS computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering, data science, or related graduate certificate.
- Major/minor combination involving engineering, mathematics, and/or statistics.
- Background in digital engineering using model-based system engineering tools.
- Software requirements modeling and verification / validation.
- Python programming experience.
- A previously obtained DoD security clearance.
- 5+ years of engineering/research experience in systems engineering and systems modeling and simulation.
