Job Description

Summary:
As a Solutions Specialist, you will work very closely with the Sales and Account Manager teams and have frequent contact with Members, Customers, and third-party hardware/software providers. You will also have significant interaction with NISC technical and support specialists throughout the organization and should be able to solve complex sales support questions. You are responsible for providing proposals, demonstrations, computer system configurations, and third-party software/hardware purchases to Members/Customers. Additionally, you will serve as a resource for Members and salespersons’ detailed product questions and must be able to operate under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent actions. This position reports to the Member Sales Team Lead.
Essential Duties:
- Assist and support in the upsell sales process for current and new Member/Customers on assigned basic to moderate level NISC software solutions.
- Monitor, research and follow up with leads for assigned solutions.
- Prepare and deliver proposals for assigned solutions.
- Follow and update standard operating procedures for each assigned solution.
- Work and coordinate with the implementation and support teams, Sales Managers, Regional Business Managers and management on data analysis, reporting, opportunities, etc. as needed or requested.
- Utilize Salesforce for the creation, management and closing of sales opportunities and reporting.
- Create, track and update internal CRM system.
- Assist internal stakeholders in the execution of marketing campaigns on assigned solutions as needed.
- Deliver software demonstrations of basic to moderate level complexity as requested.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred:
- Maintain basic level knowledge of assigned NISC software solutions’ features and functionality and how they’re positioned in the market.
- Basic level knowledge of the telecom and/or utility industries.
- Basic level ability to demonstrate initiative and accountability.
- Maintain basic knowledge of NISC’s enterprise products’ features and functionality.
- Basic level understanding of CRM systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to actively listen.
- Strong presentation and training skills.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with Member/Customers.
- Basic level knowledge of business-related software applications and services.
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize.
- Strong ability to interact in a positive manner with internal and external contacts.
- Strong ability to demonstrate professionalism.
- Ability to travel as often as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the position.
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
