Our Undersea Systems Engineering team is seeking dependable individuals willing to work in a collaborative environment and that are interested in expanding their horizons. Our organization needs someone with a background in SONAR arrays, sensors, communication arrays, transducers (or Radar) and is willing to take that knowledge and apply it to developing and maintaining our SONAR production jobs. Experience with underwater/naval systems such as Torpedo's, Towed Vehicles, Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV), Submarines, etc. is encouraged. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the sonar arrays designs are ready for manufacture/production, for engineering follow of the array's through production addressing any issues that arise within cost and schedule constraints, and for factory acceptance level testing (FAT), both bench-level and within an Acoustic Test Facility. Once through FAT, this individual may be asked to travel to participate in field testing. Familiarity with sonar/ sensor data analysis and interpretation of data against requirements is encouraged.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 Years of experience; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
  • Background in Sonar arrays, sensors, communication arrays, transducers or radar
  • Must be eligible to obtain/hold a U.S. Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Design, Manufacture, and Test of Sonar Transducer Systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc)
  • Previous design or testing experience with Comms/Sonar/Radar receivers
  • Familiarity with Labview and/or MATLAB programming and troubleshooting
  • An interest in seeing production transducers through manufacturing and test, locally, with the possibility of travel to field - sites for final sell-off testing.

Salary Range: $96,600.00 - $145,000.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.
