Machine Opertor Shift Lead

• Scheduled Shift: Wed: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Thur-Sat: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Rate of Pay: $14.29 Plus $1.00 in lead Pay
• Location: Northease El Paso

Job Description:

• Ensures the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated positions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively between supervisors and operators.
• Responsible for training new employees and coaching existing employees.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Inspects tile for shade and visual defects as needed.
• Follows ISO operating procedures and control plan and ensures employees are following all procedures
• Manufacture and pack products as necessary.
• Must be able to adjust Flaw Master properly and as necessary.
• Ensures that employees keep areas safe, clean and organized.
• Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures of plant.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Ensures employees complete required training.
• Ensure ergonomic risk factors are reduced to an acceptable level when feasible.
• Lead injury/illness investigations, and ensure accurate root cause is identified and addressed. Where feasible, strive to ensure injured e employees do not return to a given job until the causative factors are identified and controlled.
• Complete all required training, including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.
• Identify and adjust workstation arrangement, work practices, and workflow to reduce risk factors
• Report issues to supervisor/manager when unable to control risk factor/s.
• Report symptoms of injury/illness and concerns when first noted.
• Participate in incident investigation.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.
