Smith+Nephew is hiring Source to Pay Systems Lead.

The STP Systems Lead will work with country teams, global SMEs, and IT to enhance operational performance across the STP spectrum. This role involves developing a continuous improvement community and supporting initiatives to deliver a seamless, cost-effective experience for end users.

A strong background in Source to Pay Operations is essential, particularly in providing technical expertise and guidance for deploying STP tools and technology in a fast-paced, complex environment.

What you will be doing?

• Manage day-to-day relationships with external systems/software providers like Esker and SAP Ariba, as well as internal IT teams to ensure system support and optimization.

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and Ambassador for Esker and Ariba P2P, providing guidance and expertise.

• Play a key role in the global deployment of SAP Ariba and Esker, including their design, build, and post-go-live support for SAP and non-SAP markets.

• Act as a trusted advisor in projects, coordinating with technical experts and key users for activities such as requirements gathering, testing, training, and master data preparation.

• Review and assess the capabilities of SAP Ariba and Esker systems to ensure alignment with business requirements and optimize their technical performance.

• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to solve business unit-level problems within STP Operations.

• Develop and deliver training to enhance awareness of policies, procedures, and platform functionality within STP Operations, aiming to optimize performance and increase compliance.

• Support SMEs and BUs by reviewing system/software release notes, leading the testing and deployment of upgrades, fixes, or enhancements, and ensuring smooth STP activities with the remote team.

What will you need to be successful?

• Education: Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Licenses/Certifications: Ariba certification is a plus.

• Experience:

  • 3+ years working in a procurement organization or with STP solution providers.

  • Hands-on experience with global project deployments, demonstrating a strong understanding of the integration of procure-to-pay processes within the overall process landscape.

  • Experience with global or multi-national environments.
