Sourcing Analyst II

Description
As a Sourcing Analyst II, you will be responsible for collaborating with leadership to identify data analytics opportunities, and to design, develop, and deliver reports, dashboards, and analytical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business questions into specific data and reporting requirements.
- Develop & monitor dashboards that deliver actionable insights.
- Monitor and maintain databases for purchase price variances, supplier performance, supply chain health, Days Payable Outstanding, and strategic long-range procurement plans.
- Understanding business process management and business requirements of the Sourcing, Procurement, and Value Engineering teams and translating them to specific software requirements.
- Analyze spend and purchase variance data and trends for cost improvements and buy decisions as required.
- Acting as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams.
- Perform ad hoc analyses for leadership or supervisors as required.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience in the application of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, related analytical tools and programming languages. Extensive experience in problem resolution including determining root cause, scope, and scale of issues. Experience working in an Agile development and project management environment.
- Advanced skill interpreting, extrapolating, interpolating data and SQL skills. Understanding and communicating data presented in models, charts, and tables and transforming it into a format that is useful to the business and aids effective decision making.
- Knowledge of various data structures and the ability to manipulate data within visualization tools such as Power Automate, or Microsoft Power BI. Data warehousing, data cleaning, and other analytical techniques required for data usage.
- Effective skill in the use of measurement and statistical practices to analyze current and historical data to make predictions, identify risks, and opportunities enabling better decisions on planned/future events. Knowledge of the process of sourcing raw data and cleansing techniques.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college university and 2-5 years of progressive experience with the implementation, operation, programming and development of data and business intelligence solutions, or an equivalent in a related field, OR 10+ years of applicable experience
- Preferred majors: Finance, Operations Research, Business, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics
SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
- Advanced: Microsoft Office Suite & Power BI
- Intermediate: Familiarity with Relational Databases & Database Administration
- Basic: Outlook
