This position is responsible for managing Sourcing Analytics projects that utilize data management and quantitative analyses of sourcing activities within the Strategic Sourcing Organization (SSO). The Project Manager (PM) will collaborate with the Sourcing Analytics Team to ensure on-time completion of project milestones and deliver reports on project status/completion. The PM will work directly with the Analyst Team to build standardized tools and processes for tracking project status and developing project management skills within the team. The PM will coordinate between multiple teams to assist in defining project details, such as scope, requirements, and desired timeline. The PM will also help ensure consistent and effective change management through the release of new tools and processes. The Sourcing Analytics PM must work well independently, and with teams, and may lead or support complex cross-functional process or supply chain improvement actions or projects.

This role reports to the Applied Technology and Analytics Manager and can be located in Milwaukee - Wisconsin, Mayfield Heights - Ohio, or Katowice - Poland.

What you will do

  • Manage Sourcing Analytics projects
    • Manage the overall project planning, schedules, status, and delivery of all Sourcing Analytics projects as a part of the Sourcing Analytics team. Most of the development and project output will depend on the Sourcing Analyst(s) assigned to the projects. The PM will be responsible for coordinating with the Analyst(s) to both enable and ensure continuous improvement and the completion of project milestones while identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Sourcing Analytics Project Management Office (PMO)
    • In collaboration with the Analytics Manager, the PM will be responsible for establishing and enforcing project management standards across the team. This will include defining and maintaining standards for project documentation, process, and metrics.
  • Assist in project prioritization and ROI
    • Collaborate with the Analytics Manager, project stakeholders, and Sourcing Leadership to prioritize projects. In coordination with these partners, develop a standard method to analyze project value/savings and present this value to leadership.
  • Sourcing Project Lead
    • Lead project teams in support of complex, and often critical, cross functional sourcing and supply chain strategies and related business initiatives. Utilize continuous improvement methods to drive efficiency and value for the supply chain organization.
  • Develop an expertise in the strategic sourcing process
    • Teams with multiple Supply Chain teams and other subject matter experts to learn and create commodity / services sourcing strategies. Through the management of the analyst team projects, the PM will develop a strong knowledge of Sourcing processes and applications.

  • Project Management skills and experience to drive time-based results and the ability to indirectly influence project members to achieve success.
  • Capability to define, document, and deploy standard processes/methodology.
  • Experience leading a team or organization in change management and compliance to the new process.
  • Problem solving and continuous improvement mindset for reducing waste and non-value add activities.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects/tasks with high degree of accuracy and detail.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High energy, driven and enthusiastic about opportunities for in-depth sourcing strategy execution.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or equivalent experience. Advanced formal education desirable in business, supply chain, or other relevant field.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience creating standard processes and deploying these in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and supply chain management.
  • Strong problem solving and data driven decision-making skills.
  • CPIM, CPSM, or PMP similar certification a plus.
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification desirable.
  • ERP/MRP systems knowledge (SAP preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of supply chain, manufacturing engineering, project management or operations management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and examples of managing cross-functional projects / assignments requiring identification of objectives, resources and/or approaches.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • General knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote)
