Sourcing Associate

Job Summary:

As the Sourcing Associate, you will play a key role in our diversification and product development efforts at Ruggable. You will serve as both a decision-maker and an innovative thinker for the Operations team. More specifically, you will support sourcing for several of our best-selling products and drive continuous improvement with our vendors. You will be responsible for evaluating samples, analyzing cost, and providing feedback to vendors to expand and improve our global supplier base.

What You’ll Do: 

• Build strong relationships with Ruggable factories, vendors, and cross-functional teams to help foster an environment of partnership and trust
• Maintain daily communication with vendors to ensure alignment, manage performance, and improve reliability
• Manage vendor-facing projects and processes, including building new tools to make these efforts more efficient
• Ensure that all seasonal calendar deadlines are met, issues are raised, and the team is updated in a timely manner
• Research new markets or suppliers for additional resources and to fill assortment gaps
• Organize and prioritize technical packages, cost breakdowns, and production tracking
• Test incoming samples against product specifications and provide concise feedback to suppliers in order to achieve approved quality
• Partner with the team to onboard new regions, suppliers, and factories

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

• 1-3 years in Textile Sourcing and/or Product Development experience with a globally distributed supplier base
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills
• Local to the LA area to be onsite in a hybrid capacity 

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field
• Specific knowledge of textile and/or apparel (textile, trim, packaging, garment) manufacturing and supply chain
• Highly engaged and qualified supplier base contacts

Compensation:

• $75,000 - $85,000 per year base salary
• Annual bonus that varies based on level of role
• Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company-sponsored 401K plan
